Letter from the VP Recruitment

Hi there! My name is Angie, and I proudly serve as the Vice President of Recruitment for Alpha Gamma Delta. I am more than happy to welcome you to explore the incredible opportunities that joining our sorority can offer. I hope this letter gets you excited about the possibilities that await you in your collegiate career. Alpha Gamma Delta is more than just a sorority; it’s a home away from home. It’s a support system of girls who are committed to personal growth, academics, and their community. When I first joined Alpha Gamma Delta here at Sonoma State, I was overjoyed by the amount of kindness, sincerity, and love that my sisters gave to not only me, but everyone around them. It is more than a blessing to have gotten the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing group of individuals who inspire me every day to grow. We strive to empower members to become the best versions of themselves! We value leadership, service, and lifelong learning. As a member, you have the opportunity to participate in our philanthropy for fighting hunger by attending food banks or hosting food drives for the community (as well as host our biggest event in the spring: Lip Jam!) or also taking a role in the sorority and leading! Lastly, as academics are important and the goals set give back in tenfold, the benefits in your journey throughout college and the lifetime ahead of you are multiplied. One of the most rewarding things about being an Alpha Gam is the lifelong friendships formed. Those bonds created in this sorority are truly one of a kind and special. Whether it's through studying together, participating in our philanthropy, or simply hanging out and getting coffee at Lobos, the connections you make here will last a lifetime. The experiences and memories you will gain here are like no other. I am hopeful and confident that you may find a home away from home with us.
